See that gargantuan knob there? The blue and white one?
Yes. When you hold the iron, you may accidentally move the knob. And that knob is one serious business. It controls the heat for different type of fabrics.
If you were currently ironing SILK, and you accidentally turn the knob to... CLOTH! So you IRON SILK at a cloth heat and time... Is your silk going to burn? :P
Most irons are designed the same way. >.< I wonder how many people in the world make this goodness-gracious knob-turning and burn their clothes.
The iron should be redesigned, so that ANY controls ARE NEVER at the area of the knob shown above. Have to take note of the top handle too. :)
